The fantastic 'Growing Old Gracefully' exhibition, assembled from oral history interviews held with a vast array of people (service users, staff old and new, board members, council workers, supporters....), went on display in libraries and community centres across our borough. It was amazing to share our story with many different people, and display the fruits of our labour from this heritage project.
We also put together a wonderful pop-up exhibition of items, brought together by SubCo service users, that give an insight to their personal experiences, their relationship to SubCo, and Asian culture more generally. This exhibition appeared at Forest Gate, Green Street, and Plaistow libraries, as well as SubCo itself and the Trinity Centre in East Ham. Many people had the chance to see our colourful collection as it traveled round Newham between 24th February, and 27th March.
