Visiting archives

Our service users previously had the opportunity to head to Eastside Community Heritage's archive to put together resources for a reminiscence session. Our project officer, Shapla, also gave a talk (at our Valentine's event) about how to use different types of archival resources to find out more about the local area. It was a great opportunity to consolidate these sessions by visiting accredited borough archives, looking at their physical collections. On the 4th of march we took a group to Tower Hamlets Archive, and later in the month, on the 19th, it was the turn of the Newham Archives. Both trips were enjoyable and eye-opening.
