We were joined by an absolutely incredible 25 service users and 8 staff for a day of reminiscence and pampering. The exhibition was unveiled and all the project volunteers were presented with a certificate to recognise their hard work throughout the project. All the attendees enjoyed refreshments and reminiscence activities at the memory cafe, with the staff leading every single activity with confidence from their training and experience gained along the way. They recorded vox pops and created fantastic resources like an 'A-Z of SubCo', a 'Memory Tree', and a 'SubCo Anniversary Calendar'. The service users enjoyed passing round pictures and photos to bring back the past. After the memory cafe, lunch was served, and then in the afternoon participants enjoyed a pampering session.
