Thirteen participants (seven service users, five SubCo staff members, and a student from UEL) took part in a two hour long session, learning the fundamentals of oral history theory and practice. We discussed the merits and difficulties of oral history as a method to look at the past, and thought of some important ways to structure interviews. Finally, everyone got the opportunity to practice interviewing others in a small group, getting hands on experience with the technology to ensure the project work will run smoothly.
